"Some people won't listen, and they make me eat dirt!"

Jaleo! with Mom and Jennifer (my baby sister).
At the FDR memorial (my new favorite hangout)

Leather clad stallion and baby sis.

WWII Memorial.

My mom was almost as tall as the Washington Monument.

Then she shrunk back down to regular size.

This post is late, but it certainly is far from never! My mom, baby sister, and her arm candy boyfriend came to pay a visit two weeks ago. We took in the sites and enjoyed our favorite tapas restaurant. Jaleo!

Mom gave me a great quote that will be thought of, and used strategically, for many years. Although Jenny and I love the variety at Jaleo, Mom was a little less enthusiastic. After we forced her to try a fabulous dish made with grilled sweet peppers and stuffed with goat cheese, Mom was disgusted and declared: "Some people won't listen, and they make me eat dirt!" Tom sat quietly and ordered pizza after we returned home. It was great seeing the family!

That quote is so true! Your mom obviously has great wisdom. Seriously, get her back here, D.C. needs her. (I love Jaleo as well, but in a larger sense I agree with the sentiment.)
